IndiGo, the budget-friendly airline, is launching daily non-stop flights from Chennai, India to Penang, Malaysia, starting on December 21, 2024. This new route makes Penang the third direct destination in Malaysia for IndiGo, joining Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi.

IndiGo now operates 28 weekly flights to Malaysia from India, covering Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, and Penang.”

This new route is expected to increase tourism between India and Malaysia, with Penang attracting more travelers due to its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The flight also connects passengers from major Indian cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai to Penang through Chennai.
