Scoot is expanding its flight network with new routes from Changi Airport to Malacca, Subang, and Kertajati. This expansion offers more travel options for weekend getaways, with Malacca and Kertajati being new destinations from Changi. Notably, flights to Malacca will be the shortest from Changi Airport.

New Flight Launch Dates

• Subang: Starting September 1, 2024
• Kertajati: Starting September 28, 2024
• Malacca: Starting October 23, 2024

The flights to Malacca and Kertajati will be operated with Scoot’s new Embraer E190-E2 jets, while the Subang route will use the Airbus A320.

Convenient Travel From Changi to Kuala Lumpur 

The new route to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang) provides an alternative to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Subang Airport is closer to Kuala Lumpur’s city center, cutting the drive to about 30 minutes compared to KLIA’s 60 minutes. 

The daily flights will depart Changi at 11:55 a.m., arriving at Subang at 1:10 p.m. The return flight will leave Subang at 2:10 p.m. and reach Changi at 3:20 p.m., subject to government approvals.

Fastest Route to Malacca From Changi Airport 

Scoot’s new flights to Malacca International Airport mean you can avoid the busy Johor-Singapore causeway. What used to be a 3.5-hour drive is now a 55-minute flight with Scoot’s Embraer jets. Flights will operate five times a week starting October 23, 2024.

Direct Flights to Bandung from Changi Airport

Traveling to Bandung is now more convenient with direct flights to Kertajati International Airport. Previously, travelers had to fly to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta and drive three hours to Bandung. The new flight to Kertajati, about an hour’s drive from Bandung, will make the trip quicker and easier. Scoot will offer this route twice a week.
