This complex was opened by DYMM Pemangku Raja Perak, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah on May 26, 1990, and fully inaugurated by DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak, Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah on July 5, 2004. Its original concept serves as a historical record commemorating the significance of the bloody events at Pasir Salak, regarded as the foundation of Malaysia's parliamentary democracy. Historical events are vividly portrayed in the History Tunnel using diorama techniques, presenting a three-dimensional exhibition. Each pivotal event and episode in the nation's history, along with its developments, is meticulously arranged and presented chronologically.
